Latinmove is the unique traditional folk dance from
South Mexico intermixed with traditional latin dance.
This dance was performed in pubs and streets in tow
ns. This mixed dance performed by half-black and
half-latino people was brought to England, and through
academic research and development it became ballroom dancing as social dancing for both men and women.
In this process of development, ballroom dancing was
classified into modern dance and latin dance.
Meanwhile latinmove was introduced to fitness centers
in the USA by latin Americans. People can enjoy latin
move as a solitary exercise or with a partner.
In 2002, the Korea latinmove Association promoted the
spread of latinmove to Korea by setting up easily accessible programs for the general public.
Thus, many sports centers in Korea are currently providing latinmove classes as regular programs for recrea
tional sport. Latinmove is also a representative brand
of KASI.
